Teluk Meranti Community Reject Industrial Plantation

TELUK MERANTI - Around 150 inhabitant and community leaders from Teluk Meranti and NGO staged protest in Pelalawan District Parliament office and Pelalawan District Government office, Riau, Tuesday (24/8/2010) morning, reject companies activities that keep continue to destroy peat swamp forest in Kampar Peninsula to be converted into Industrial Plantation. They also urged government to implement moratorium.
