"Community eager   to learn about moratorium because we don’t want to be fooled anymore," said Community Forum To  Save  Kampar Peninsula leader, Deli Saputra, when he is contacted by ANTARA in Pekanbaru, on Tuesday. 

He explained, when illegal logging overwhelming in this area on 1980’s until 2007, Teluk Meranti community always being fooled by log barons, they cut down the forest in Kampar Peninsula near by the Teluk Meranti village, but the community stay poor.

According to him, the existence of forestry industry that hold industrial plantation permit in that area didn’t give significant impact for community welfare.

"People education is below average and we know nothing. But we will keep Kampar Peninsula forest and there for we learn about forestry," he added. 

He said that he already notice from the newspaper about moratorium policy for Indonesia forest, which includes conservation 700 thousands forest in Riau. Still he admitted not yet understands about compensation fund from Indonesia forest moratorium from Norwegian government.

"We would like to learn and know more about moratorium policy and its management transparently,” he said. 

Before, Norwegian government agrees to allocated fund around USD 1 billion for Indonesia forest conservation. This fund is part of developed country’s commitment from USD 4 – 5 billion for REDD+ program.

MoF in Oslo, Norwegia, in a glance said that grant for conservation and precaution for environmental forest quality degradation will be managed by credible institution. Though, the formulation about the institution form is under discussion.
